Linda Sue Gonce, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16 ^th , 2021 in her home (Bentonville, Arkansas) surrounded by love and family.  She was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1947 to parents David and Mary Green. She graduated from Springdale High School where she met the love of her life of 56 years, Raymond Gonce. They were united in marriage July 9 ^th , 1965, and Linda and Ray's union produced 4 children.

Linda was a resident of Northwest Arkansas for over 57 years, living in Springdale as a teen, Rogers as a young wife, Pea Ridge raising her children and grandchildren, and Bentonville following retirement. She was employed at Emerson for over 30 years before continuing her career with Mercy Home Health and Hospice until retirement. She was affectionately known by many as the "Dragon Lady" from collecting dragon and dragonfly figurines, pictures, and gifts. In her free time, she highly enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, and card making. She loved the sounds of wind chimes blowing in the breeze. Her laugh was contagious and her "Happy Birthday" Songs were epic. Family and friends knew they could count on Linda Sue for a smile and warm conversation or a shoulder to lean on. She was a huge fan of TV shows such as Supernatural , NCIS , and Scorpion . She could not stand when people did not use their blinkers and would get annoyed when she planted tomatoes that did not produce tomatoes. We called them "Matoe Trees". She loved pretty flowers and her beloved red and white Peonies. Give her rock-and-roll music, a swimming pool, and she was in heaven. Linda loved to travel to new places and travel to visit family when possible – most notable: Italy, California, Virginia, Tennessee, Alaska, St. Louis, and Phoenix. Numerous daytime road trip adventures were captured visiting local attractions – Big Brutus, Terra Studios, aquariums, etc. Many afternoons were spent shopping and dining out around town, but "Grandma's Spaghetti" and "Felicia's Favorite" were staple dishes in the home enjoyed sitting around the dining room table.

She was preceded in death by Parents David and Mary Green, Daughter Margaret Gonce White, and Sister Barbara Green.

She is survived by, Raymond (of the home), 3 Sons (Dale, of Pea Ridge, Mike, of Rogers, Ricky of Noel, Missouri; 4 Grandchildren, Felicia and Ethan of Bentonville, Madison and Nick Gonce of Rogers; sister, Tina and Randy Hall; two nephews, Chis and Steven Hall.

She wished to be cremated and to be buckled in the front seat of Ray's vehicle so she could travel and be with him everywhere he went. Her wishes have been honored. 😊 She will continue to be loved in memory and missed dearly by all who were honored of knowing her. Traditional funeral services will not be held, but please remember her fondly and play a Rod Stewart song in her name, if you don't know any, Maggie May will do. <3
