Bella Vista

Obituary

Linda Schliep of Bella Vista, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was born in Oceanside, CA on June 10, 1950.

Linda was a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) for over 35 years, and she loved caring for her patients and her family. She moved to Bella Vista in 2014 and attended First Baptist Church Rogers, where she worked in the children's Awana Program. Linda loved the Lord and grew in her faith after her husband's death.

Linda was very kind, caring, and gentle soul; she was beautiful inside and out. It was Linda's wish to donate her body to science after she passed from this life into the next. She is now at the UAMS College of Medicine helping the next generation of future doctors, nurses and advancing medical research.

Linda was preceded in death by her son, Brian Watkinson; her parents, Ron Bolton, Sr. and Julia Bolton; and her husband, Denny Schliep.

She is survived by her son, Michael Watkinson; daughter-in-law, Laura; grandchildren, Jillian and Matthew; her husband's grandchildren, Matthew, and Victoria; her sister, Cynthia Attebury; her twin sister, Barbara Kellenbarger; her brother, Ron Bolton, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Diana; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held for family and friends on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at First Baptist Church Rogers, 626 W Olive Street, Rogers, AR 72756.

Arrangements are being made by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences can be left at www.funeralmation.com.

Linda's favorite scriptures were:

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Revelation 21:4

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
