Linda Kay
Uttley
Nov 27, 1954 — Nov 25, 2025
Bella Vista
Linda Kay Uttley, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on November 25, 2025. She had recently been receiving care at Rogers Highlands Oncology following the rare return of a cancerous tumor after 14 years. Linda, along with her husband Rick, her family, and her friends, was deeply grateful for the additional time they were able to share together.
Linda was born on November 27, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ralph and Louise Hart. She married Rick Uttley of Milo, Iowa, on October 7, 1974. They made their home in the Milo community until 2002, following Rick's retirement from the 132FW Iowa Air Guard in Des Moines. A devoted homemaker, Linda lovingly raised their two daughters, Erin and Kelly.
She was a longtime member of the Milo Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for several years. An enthusiastic bowler, she enjoyed participating in bowling leagues for much of her life.
After moving to Bella Vista, Linda became an active member of Highlands Methodist Church, contributing her talents as a Praise Team guitarist and assisting in many areas of fellowship. She also played guitar with the Southern Strings Mountain Music Group and pursued numerous artistic and crafting hobbies.
Linda will be deeply missed by her many friends and family. Until we meet again.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Louise Hart, and her in-laws, Keith and Dorothy Uttley.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rick; daughters, Erin (Matt) VanderWerf of Monroe, IA, and Kelly (John) Fruin of Bella Vista, AR; four granddaughters—Baylee (Dylan) Haase of Ames, IA; Natalie (Trevor) Bistline of Monroe, IA; Kaia VanderWerf of Montezuma, IA; and Jordan VanderWerf of Iowa City, IA; two grandsons—Gabriel and Gage Fruin of Bella Vista, AR; two great-granddaughters—Ellie and Sadie Bistline of Monroe, IA; her sister, Susan Hart of California; and her brothers, Jack Hart and Jess Hart, both of Des Moines.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Highlands Church, 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
