Lori Ann
Walker
Sep 26, 1956 — Jun 16, 2025
Gravette
Lori Ann Walker (Schopp) passed on June 16, 2025, at Circle of Life in Bentonville, AR. Present were her husband, Mike, and her pastor, Rev. Dr. Donald Miller. She was born in Oak Park, IL, on September 26, 1956, to John and Beverly Schopp.
She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1977 and married Mike the same year. She began her teaching career in Delight, AR, before teaching at Gravette Public Schools in 1984. She taught at several grade levels and concluded her career at the middle school, where she taught art and science.
Here is what some of her students had to say about her:
"She was always so kind. She even found a way to brag on my son's artwork, which says a lot about her character! She dedicated years of her life to teaching and shaping students, and it was recognized and appreciated by so many of us."
"She was a very good person and teacher!"
"She helped me so often and never complained. She showed me ways to make my art better. I'll never forget her!"
"She was a wonderful teacher (I had her for science). She knew so much and explained it so well!"
She is survived by her husband, Mike; sons, Justin and Paul; three granddaughters, Sydnee, Caroline, and Lillian; daughter in law, Jessica; two sisters, Wendy Stith and Nancy Smith; two brothers, Kenneth and John; her mother, Beverly Beal; two nephews Ken Schopp and Brett Stith; and seven nieces, Amanda Smith, Bailey Smith, Alison Stith, Morgan Schopp, Rachel Schopp (deceased), Kimberly McDaniel, and Meghan Wheeler.
