Obituary

Lorrayne Stocke Maki, 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was born in Minnesota to parents Clarence and Edythe.

Lorrayne lived in northern Minnesota and the Twin Cities before retiring to Bella Vista. She married and was preceded in death by her first husband of 39 years, Ronald Stocke. After retiring to Bella Vista, she reunited with and married childhood friend Mark Maki. Together they shared 18 wonderful years and traveled the world, including China, Europe, Central America, and beloved family trips to Alaska, New York City, and Iceland.

Kind, sharp, and continually active, Lorrayne was an avid reader and book club member and also volunteered at Walton Arts Center for 20 years. She was a member of United Lutheran Church and its Stephen Ministries program, women's chorus, Hannah Circle, and was Chairman of Home Communion. She now welcomes God's embrace and will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23).

She is survived by sons; Kevin, Kurt, and Todd (Stefanie); stepdaughter Jo; stepsons Cliff and David (Alicia). She loved spending time with her "little" brother Richard and his wife Yvonne, whom she considered a sister. She was the adoring grandmother to Isabella, Lilith, Raven, Phoenix, Jack, and Alex.
