Lourel C. (L.C.) Smith 86, beloved husband of Laiketa Smith departed this life Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born December 16, 1934 in Baker, Arkansas.

He grew up in Wichita, Kansas graduating from North High School, Wichita State University and attended Washburn University Law School I Topeka, Kansas.

L.C. moved to Richardson, Texas in 1967 and lived there for 25 years and Alpharetta, Georgia for eight, retiring to Bella Vista.

L.C. was employed during the years at Boeing Aircraft, Cessna Aircraft, Texas Instruments, Rockwell International, and Lockheed/Martin, Marietta, Georgia where he negotiated International Defense Contracts at Lockheed with foreign countries until retirement. He was a car collector especially enjoying the 50's vintage but collected many other beautiful cars as well. He also enjoyed all of the activities of living on the lake.

He is preceded in death by parents Fred and Blanche Smith, brother Audie, sisters Carlene and Martha, and a daughter Jill Lynette Christian.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart Laiketa J. DeGreer Smith of 65 years of marriage, marrying February 11, 1956; son Scott Kyle Smith, Rogers, Arkansas, daughter Jann Rene' Miller, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Shelbi Reaves, Austin, Texas, Callie Reaves, Midlothian, Texas, and Chase Christian, Bella Vista, Arkansas; one great grandson Roman Solomon, Midlothian, Texas and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

At his request, no services will be held, burial will be in Wichita, Kansas.
