Lucille Marion Pockat was born in 1928 in Leopolis, Wisconsin, to Gabriel and Mary Kutil. Rooted in faith and family from her earliest days, Lucille grew up with a deep love for God and the people He placed in her life — a love that would define every chapter of her journey.

She was united in marriage to Lee Pockat in 1947, and together they built a home grounded in faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion to their family. Over 54 blessed years of marriage, Lucille poured her heart into raising her children and welcoming each new generation with open arms and a warm embrace.

Throughout her life, Lucille found great joy in cooking, sewing, and traveling. Some of her most treasured memories were made on trips to South Padre Island with the Asenbrenners and to Florida — adventures shared with those she loved most. But no matter where life took her, it was always family and her faith in God that called her home.

Lucille's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among her greatest blessings and her proudest joy. She delighted in each of them, showering them with love, wisdom, and the kind of warmth that only a grandmother can give. Her faith reminded her daily that children are a gift from God, and she treasured every single one.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Pockat; her parents; and her two brothers, Edward and Joseph.  Also preceding her in death was her beloved brother-in-law, Edward Asenbrenner.

Lucille is survived by her four sons: Tom and his wife Bonnie, Gerry, Pat and his wife Marsha, and Scott and his wife Brenda; four granddaughters: Candice Harris, Sara Boatman, Kimberly Smith, and Mikayla Pockat; and ten great-grandchildren: Kaylee Smith, Jaydon Smith, Hattie Boatman, Camden Boatman, Bennet Boatman, Maxwell Deal, Elliott Deal, Dexter Harris, Dani Harris, and Devon Harris.

She is also survived by her cherished sister and dearest best friend, Adeline Asenbrenner. The bond Lucille and Adeline shared was a true gift — a lifelong friendship woven with laughter, loyalty, and love that no distance or time could diminish. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews: Mike, John, Diane, Marie, and David, whom she considered her second family.

S he loved her family deeply, walked faithfully with God, and left the world a brighter place for having been in it.
