Marcelene (Marcy) Lumpkins, 76 of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in the presence and tender-loving care of her daughters. She was born April 4, 1950, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Ella & Jim Scantlin.

Marcy was a 1968 graduate of Gravette High School.  She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Davey.  They were blessed with two daughters, Deena & Mendi, living in Las Vegas, NV for many years.  Marcy made a career in the medical field working at Gravette Hospital for many years, managing medical clinics in Nevada & Arkansas, and sales & support of medical computer software systems.

Marcy moved to Benton, Arkansas in the early 1990's when the challenge was met: "Find me a good job or a good man, and I will move back to Arkansas."  She married that good man, Jim Lumpkins.

Marcy was baptized at a young age and later became a member of Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church.  She dearly loved her church family.   She and Jim went on several vacations with friends from the church.  They would talk and reminisce about those travel days and travel places years later.  She formed bonds with friends there that will never be forgotten.

Marcy had many loves and interests, but what she found most important was time with her family & friends.  One of the things that you heard from her the most was, "I LOVE MY FAMILY!  We have such a special family!"  Marcy was a beautiful, classy lady whose smile and friendly demeanor could light up a room!  She was a hard worker, giving her all in anything she was called to do.  Marcy was kindhearted, funny, giving, and a fierce protector of those she loved.  She had a special way of noticing the positive and beautiful things about others, and she made sure they knew it—always ready with a compliment, and never failing to say, "I love you!".  Her warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Jim Davey and Jim Lumpkins: dad, Jim Scantlin; and brothers, Mark Scantlin & Ed Scantlin.

Marcy is survived by her daughters, Deena Davey Coburn and Mendi Davey Jordan; Jim's children: Monica Lumpkins, Shelley (Darrin) Pledger, Stacy (Carissa) Lumpkins; grandchildren, Jona (Carolyn) Jordan, Gabe Jordan, Maddison Coburn (fiancé Peyton), Tiffani, Kacey, Abbi, Carlee, Hayden, Addison, Karter, Adalynn, and Millie; mother, Ella Scantlin; sisters, Nancy Osborn, Vivian (James) Dobbs, Carol (Guy) Sullivan, Linda Scantlin; brother John (Terri) Scantlin; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. and burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Gravette, AR.
