Marilyn June Weatherbee Dupwe, of Bentonville, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, surrounded by the love and laughter of her family. She was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Holley, N.Y. to Angelyn and Earl Charles Weatherbee.
She graduated from Nursing School at the University of Tennessee- Memphis. She worked as a nurse for more than 20 years. When she left the medical field, Marilyn started a new career as a school nurse, librarian, and kindergarten aide at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Muskogee, Okla.
Marilyn married her best friend and the love of her life, David (Davey) Raymond Dupwe, III on October 14, 1972, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Memphis. They welcomed their son, Daniel, on August 23, 1973. Marilyn and Daniel lost Davey, September 20, 1975, when he responded to a call of duty with the McGehee Arkansas Fire Department. After Marilyn's beloved daughter, Tamara (Tami), joined her and Daniel their family was complete again.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Davey; her parents; and one sister, Donna Bond-Lambert.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Dupwe and Shannon Hahn; her daughter, Tami Dupwe; one sister, Beverly Crow; grandchildren, Kaitlyn McElhaney, Angelyn Dupwe, Katherine Hahn, Cidaly Dupwe, Ethan Dupwe and Samuel Dupwe; and a host of family and friends.
Private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
