Martha A Johnston , 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died on December 23, 2022, at her son's home in Springfield, Mo. She was born January 15, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri to Patrick B. Cushing and Kathryn Cushing.

She married Wally Johnston on July 26, 1958. She spent most of her life in St. Charles, Missouri.  She and her husband were residents of Bella Vista for 27 years. She was an avid tennis player.  She belonged to the Women's club and compassion club at St. Bernard's Catholic Church of Bella Vista. She worked part-time for Senior Superior Care.

Survivors include her two sons and her two daughters, Matt and wife, Theresa, of Springfield, MO, Dan and wife, Shea of Fort Myers, FL, Janelle and husband, Kelly Cohen of De Soto, MO, and Theresa and Chris of Eden, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and her twin sister, Marjorie Cushing, SCL.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715. Mass of resurrection will be at St. Bernard Catholic Church , 1 St. Bernard Ln, Bella Vista , Arkansas 72715 on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 , at 10:30 am with inurnment at the columbarium to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Charity, 4200 S. 4 ^th Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and to St. Bernard Catholic church.
