Marvin H. Thomson, 91, of Bella Vista, AR died May 22, 2024.

He was born and lived in Ashland City, TN until his marriage to Frances S. Thomson in 1953. They lived in several states before settling in Bella Vista, AR. Marvin was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and was the Controller for Sears Company for 25 years, retiring in 1983. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Marvin was a faithful Christian and loved his Lord. He attended and especially enjoyed the Bella Vista Church of Christ and served as deacon and church treasurer for 45 years. He and Frances enjoyed many trips in their 5th wheel. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing bridge with his men's group, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

A special thank you to Concordia staff for their loving care of Dad the past 10 months, and our family during his final days.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Ben, and Fanny Elizabeth Thomson.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Thomson; daughter, Mary Beth Thomson; son, Brad Thomson and wife, Janice of Arkansas; granddaughter, Sarah McBeth and husband, Cedrick; and great grandchildren, Chloe and Lukas, of Prosper, TX.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Randall Caselman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gospel Tracts International, 2125 N. Center Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
