Marvin Joseph Zwiefelhofer, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 7, 2023, at home in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born on June 7,1937, in Chippewa, Wisconsin, to Agnes Pecha and Joseph A Zwiefelhofer.

Marvin led an extraordinary life, marked by his service in the Army, his passion for working with his hands, and his love for tending to his garden. He grew up on a dairy farm, where he learned the values of hard work and perseverance that would guide him throughout his life.

He spent many years with American Motors Corporation and making frequent trips to Freddie's with his buddies from work. However, he was also a proud member of the Army, where he served with honor and distinction, dedicating 2 years of his life to protecting the freedom and values that we hold dear. Stationed in Verdun, France as a Cargo Airplane Mechanic, he played a critical role in keeping army planes and their equipment safe and up to date. It was later found out that he was awarded a Sharpshooter badge and Good Conduct Medal. His time in the Army shaped him into a disciplined and principled individual, traits that he carried with him in all aspects of his life.

Beyond his military service, Marvin had a deep appreciation for working with his hands. He possessed a remarkable talent for craftsmanship and took great pride in his ability to bring beauty and functionality to life. Whether it was building furniture, repairing appliances, or renovating his home, he approached each project with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering determination.

In addition to his skilled craftsmanship, Marvin, alongside his late wife, Kathleen Zwiefelhofer, had a green thumb and found solace in maintaining their garden. He created a serene and thriving oasis where he spent countless hours nurturing plants and cultivating a vibrant and flourishing sanctuary for, him and his wife. His dedication to his garden was a testament to his unwavering work ethic and love for nature.

Despite his many accomplishments, Marvin was a private individual who valued his solitude. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, offering quiet support and guidance. His unwavering presence and steadfast commitment to his family and friends will forever be cherished.

Married to his "Shweetie", Kathleen, for 55 years, together they raised 4 children, Danielle, Robert, Sandra, and Tricia. His most endearing moments were when he took his family cross-country to sight see, visit state parks and camp at KOA campgrounds. Later he took great pride in watching his children grow into successful and compassionate individuals. As a grandfather, Marvin adored his 9 grandchildren, Christian, Chandler, Courtney, Tristan, Paige, Samuel, Eliana, Summer & Jett. He had a special bond with each of them and loved spending quality time with them, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

Marvin J Zwiefelhofer leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and resilience. His memory will continue to inspire us to strive for excellence in all that we do. We will forever hold him close in our hearts and remember the lessons he taught us about perseverance and love.
