Max Lee Combrink, age 87, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on January 6, 2026, in Bella Vista, AR 72715. He was born on September 24, 1938, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to Cecil Combrink and Francis Goldsmith, both of whom preceded him in death.

Max graduated from Cushing High School and went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Teaching from Northeastern State University. He devoted his life to education, touching countless lives as a teacher and coach. His passion for learning, discipline, and encouragement left a lasting impact on students and athletes alike. Max was deeply loved by his family and respected by those he taught, coached, and worshipped alongside. He will be remembered for his commitment to education, his steady presence, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Foster; his brother, Ernie Combrink; his son, Chad Combrink; and his granddaughter, Sherise Jackson.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janie Combrink, and his children: Kathy Woodward, Lorri Horton, Gina Kiel, and James King; his grandchildren: Freedom Terrell, Sarah Lunceford, Marc Bailey, Nicole Bailey, Natalie Slater, Somer Roney, Jazmyn Combrink, and Zachary King; along with many great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service officiated by James King at 12:30 p.m. at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery.
