Melissa Hershberger, 42, of Centerton Arkansas sadly passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2022. She was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went and could instantly make a room brighter just by walking into it.

Melissa was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on August 23, 1980, to David T. Sylvestre & Nancy E. (Tremblay) Sylvestre. Melissa attended William M. Davies Jr. Career & Technical High School and graduated towards the top of her class in 1998. During the course of her life Melissa held many careers but at the time of her passing she was employed by MaidPro located in Bentonville, Arkansas as an Office Manager. Melissa was always a self-driven and dedicated person who loved what she did and the people she got to work with.

On February 10, 2010, Melissa married the love of her life Matthew V. Hershberger after being together since 2006. Melissa & Matt never had children, but they did have animals (Chico, Peekaboo & Zoe) that she loved very much and she treated as her children. She also had two nieces that she loved more than anything in this world and she would spoil every opportunity she got.

Melissa was a devoted wife, daughter, sister & friend. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for the people in her life that she loved and that was always evident in everything she did. She had the biggest heart which made it easy to be loved by everyone that had the privilege to meet her.

Melissa is survived by her father & stepmother, David & Sandy Sylvestre (Lincoln, Rhode Island); her mother, Nancy Sylvestre (Warwick, Rhode Island); her husband, Matt Hershberger (Centerton, Arkansas); her brother, Matthew Sylvestre (Lincoln, Nebraska) & her nieces, Whitney & Hailey Sylvestre (Lincoln, Nebraska).

She was predeceased in death by her grandfather & grandmother, Joseph & Marguerite Sylvestre & her mémé & pépé, Arthur & Pauline Tremblay.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Knights of Columbus located at 15 Bassett Street, North Providence RI 02904. Anyone that would like to pay their respects is welcome to attend.
