Mervin James Boyd, 90, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Norman, Oklahoma, graduated from this earth to live in heaven on April 18, 2024, after a fall resulted in a brain injury on March 7, 2024. He was surrounded with love by his wife of 7 years, Darlene Boyd and his daughters, Sis, and Beverly as he took his last breath on earth and entered heaven. He was born on December 21, 1933, in Furley, Kansas to Reuben Boyd and Verna Boyd Chambers.

Mervin was preceded in death by his first wife of 63 years, Ramona Boyd; son, Charlie Boyd; both parents; brother, Jim Boyd; sister, Lois Huddleston; twin grandsons, Timothy, and Nathan Newcomb; and granddaughter, Melissa Boyd.

He is survived by his current wife, Darlene; daughter, Ramona (Sis) and husband, Mike Riley of Mustang; daughter, Beverly and husband, Steve Kerr of Oklahoma City; daughter Melinda and husband, Jimmy McMichael of Oklahoma City; son, Dennis and wife, Gayla Boyd of Oklahoma City; step-daughter, Lisa; brother, Verle "Pete" Boyd of Wichita, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
