Michael Garland, age 64, of Rogers, Arkansas, a proud father, grandfather, son and brother passed away Thursday, September 2 ^nd , 2021.

Mike was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 15 ^th , 1957, to Fred Garland and Leonida J. Garland.

He was raised in Rogers, where he attended and graduated from Rogers High School class of 1975.  He went on to attend Arkansas Tech University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education in 1980.  Mike enjoyed many genres of music, especially classical music.  He played trombone as a member of the Bella Vista Big Band and was invited to play at President Bill Clinton's first inaugural ball.  Almost every weekend he could be found either on the golf course or watching his beloved Kansas City Chiefs.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Garland; grandparents, Oscar and Pearl Garland, John and Gladys Ray; and his niece Mendy Garland.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Taylor (Shane) and grandson Corby (Tito); sons, James Garland and John Ryan (JR) Garland (Brittany); his mother, Leonida Garland of Wichita Kansas; brother, Dennis (Sandy) Garland of Clarksville Arkansas; and sister, Laurie Garland of Wichita Kansas.

A memorial will be held at Bella Vista Funeral home on October 2 ^nd , 2021 at 2pm at Bella Vista Funeral Home.
