Michelle Hunsaker, a vibrant and beloved friend, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. Born in Brigham City, Utah, on September 27, 1971, Michelle lived a life defined by warmth, dedication, and an infectious love for connecting with others.

Michelle was preceded in death by her cherished younger brother, Patrick Kyle Hunsaker; her former husband, Edward Robert Provence; and her grandparents, Paul and Sadie Hunsaker, and Norman and Shirley Pearce.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Ryan (Naomi) Hunsaker of Farmington, Utah; her devoted parents, Mike and Marilyn Hunsaker of Brigham City, Utah; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A proud graduate of Honeyville Elementary, Box Elder Middle School, and Box Elder High School, Michelle went on to earn her degree in Secretarial Law from Stevens-Henager College of Business. Her education laid the foundation for a remarkable career that began in northern Utah and ultimately led her to her professional dream in northwest Arkansas, where she found both purpose and fulfillment.

However, Michelle's first love was dancing. She began dancing at just three and a half years old, excelling in tap but finding her truest joy in ballet. At fourteen, she turned her passion into purpose by teaching three- and four-year-old children at The Dance Company, where she discovered her gift for mentoring and inspiring young people.

That nurturing spirit extended to her role as big sister to her younger twin brothers, Kyle and Ryan. Through her connections at Flying J and K-Mart, she helped Ryan land his first jobs as a teenager. She showed that same care with her autistic brother Kyle, who craved the structure of a daily calendar after graduating from high school but was frustrated that he could not manage one independently. Recognizing his need for autonomy, Michelle created a magnetic calendar system he could use himself, a testament to her thoughtful problem-solving and deep love. There are countless stories like these, moments when Michelle stepped in to care for Kyle or Ryan, always watching out for her family.

Building friendships was central to Michelle's life. To this day, it is nearly impossible to travel anywhere in northern Utah without meeting someone who knew Michelle and was eager to share a fond memory. This speaks of her rare ability to leave lasting impressions. She and her best friend from high school shared decades of adventures, from cutting class to avoid Vice Principal "Birdman" Johnson, to sneaking off to Peach City after sacrament meeting for fries and Diet Coke, to annual houseboat trips at Lake Powell and New Year's celebrations in Las Vegas and Mesquite, including one night when Michelle won $500 at blackjack. As next-door neighbors, they shared dinners and movies several times a week. Michelle crocheted a baby blanket for each of her friend's children, tangible reminders of her enduring care.

That same gift for friendship followed Michelle to Arkansas, where she built a close-knit community through work, travel, and shared experiences. Michelle found pure joy in anything that brought people together, cruises, concerts, and sporting events, anything surrounded by friends and shared energy. Her enthusiasm was contagious, lighting up any gathering, large or small.

That love for people shaped her professional life. Her career was marked by steady growth and excellence, moving from K-Mart and Stephen's Cabinets to Vulcraft and Autoliv. In 1997, she joined Flying J as a Training Assistant, beginning a path in administrative leadership. From 2000 to 2008, she served as an Administrative Assistant at the Walmart Distribution Center in Corinne, Utah, all while holding fast to her dream of one day reaching Walmart's Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Michelle's love of organization and her gift for connecting with others led her to join the International Association of Administrative Professionals in 1999. Within the Golden Spike Chapter in Brigham City, Utah, she served in every office and later spent two years as a division officer for the Idaho, Utah, and Oregon division. When Michelle moved to Arkansas, she brought her trademark positivity and organizational skills with her, quickly becoming known for her ability to thoughtfully plan events and for being a loyal friend and cherished travel companion within the organization.

In 2008, Michelle's professional dream became a reality when she joined Walmart's Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas. Over the next eighteen years, she distinguished herself in roles of increasing responsibility, including Administrative Assistant and Recruiting Analytics (2008 to 2009), Project Assistant and Administrative Assistant (2009 to 2011), Senior Vice President Assistant for Health and Wellness Operations (2011 to 2018), and Executive Administrative Assistant for Health and Wellness (2018 to 2025). Most recently, she served as Executive Administrative Assistant for Region 72 (December 1, 2025 to 2026), bringing her characteristic dedication, warmth, and excellence to everything she touched.

The depth of Michelle's professional legacy was made unmistakably clear in her final days. Coworkers and colleagues visited her repeatedly in the hospital, prayer circles gathered outside, and messages of love and support poured in from around the world. In a profound act of kindness and generosity, Michelle's boss at Walmart made it possible for her family to travel from Utah to Arkansas so they could be with her during her final hours. This extraordinary gesture reflected the deep admiration, gratitude, and care she inspired in those around her.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas, who cared for Michelle with such compassion and dedication. They also wish to thank the friends, colleagues, and loved ones who stepped forward with visits, prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your presence and love meant more than words can express.

Michelle leaves behind countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will forever cherish her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering belief in the power of community. Though she has taken her final bow, the rhythm of her generous spirit will dance on in all who knew her.

A celebration of Michelle's life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715. Additional services will be held in Brigham City, Utah, at a later date, with details to be announced. Interment will be at Call's Fort Cemetery in Honeyville, Utah.
