Mildred Joyce Reed passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Circle of Life Hospice, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on August 14, 1926, in Shelby County, Illinois, to Harry Claude McDonald and Norma Viola Baker. She was the 4 ^th of 8 children.

On September 15, 1945, she married James Hersel Reed who preceded her in death on the 7 ^th of May 1999. On April 4, 2003, she married Alva Royce Murdock who preceded her in death on May 29, 2021.

Mildred was a lifelong Christian and was steadfast in her faith to the very end. She even taught adult Sunday School classes for twenty years and played both the piano and organ during church services. Even as Alzheimer slowly took away her mental abilities, she continued to play for enjoyment.

She loved to travel and had been to many places both here and abroad. Her farthest trip being to Australia and New Zealand.

She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents and 6 other siblings.

Mildred is survived by two sisters, Elma Irene and Ruby Esther, three children, Harlen (Judy), Sandee and Ken (Paula), four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date as Mildred is to be cremated and her ashes interred with Hersel's at the Little Flock Cemetery in Moweaqua, Shelby County, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made, in her name, with The Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.
