Some people only walk on this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Last week Misty Lynn Martin rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings. Misty passed away April 18, 2023, at the age of 48.

Misty graduated in 1992 from Gravette High School. She went on to John Brown University to earn a bachelor's in early childhood education. She was in her 27th year of teaching at Glenn Duffy Elementary as a kindergarten teacher and touched many lives over the years. Misty loved being a mom. She was involved in her kids 4-H and volunteered at the Benton County fair. When her kids started showing livestock and playing ball you could always hear her cheering on the sidelines.

Misty was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Martin and daughter, Hillary Harris.

She is survived by three of her children, who made up the entirety of her world, Hannah, Hayden, Hailey Harris; her dad, James Martin and Pam Martin; brother, Eddie Martin; soon to be son-in-law, Clayton Stark; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the Gravette School District Volleyball Gym, 457 Seventh Ave. S.E., Gravette, AR 72736 on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
