It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Anne Galbraith, of Bella Vista, AR, on October 3, 2024, at the age of 62.  Nancy was born on August 13, 1962, in Detroit MI., to Joseph and Betty (Yott) Pasco.

Nancy met the love of her life, best friend and beloved husband Paul Galbraith in her senior year of high school. They were married on August 12, 1983, and recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.  Nancy was loved by many and was known for her kind, loving, and caring personality.  She lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service to others.  Nancy's friendships were very important and special to her.  They originated from all aspects of her life, school, work, and common interests.  She will be missed by many.

Nancy was a 1980 graduate of Olathe High School, Olathe KS and continued her education at Penn Valley Community College with a degree and board certification as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA).  She worked for over 15 years as a CPTA caring for and helping countless patients of all ages.  She had a soft spot for senior citizens and those with special needs.

Her youngest brother, Jason, was born with Down's Syndrome and while she was close to all her brothers, she had a special bond with Jason.  As an adult, she took an active role in Jason's life. She knew all the things that brought Jason joy. She would bring him little gifts at their Friday night dinners.  They would have weekend sleepover parties that usually ended with a trip to the carwash, Dairy Queen or Cabela's for dry sailing a pontoon boat.

In 2004 Nancy followed her passion for helping senior citizens by earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with the highest honors from the University of South Florida (USF).  While attending USF she was a dedicated volunteer for Pinellas Association for Retarded Children (PARC).  Her life adventures with Paul landed them in NW Arkansas shortly after.  She worked 8 years at Faith in Action, currently named Senior Support in Action as a volunteer coordinator.  Senior Support in Action is an outreach program of the Washington Regional Medical Foundation that connects socially isolated seniors in Benton and Washington counties to their community through volunteer support.  As a volunteer coordinator, she would connect volunteers with seniors that needed services such as grocery shopping, transportation, yard work, chore assistance etc.  She also was part of a team that raised money through events like Savor the Flavor.

After Faith in Action, Nancy worked as an outreach specialist for the University of Arkansas Medical System - Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education.  The mission of the Schmieding Center is to improve the health outcomes of older Arkansans in our region through interdisciplinary clinical care and innovative education programs and to influence health policy at the state and national levels with emphasis on care of rural older adults.  Her many duties included managing the Health Resource Center as well as planning and executing the Senior Expo Fairs in Bella Vista.  She was a passionate and invaluable asset to their team until her retirement in 2017.

In her free time, Nancy loved to spend time with family and friends.  She loved her time on the ocean in the boat or shelling on the sandy beaches.  She loved antiquing and had a passion for decorating.  You could always pick out Nancy's style and personal touch she made in her home or for others.  She loved reading.  She loved a quiet evening with a glass of wine and being in the company of her loved ones.  She was such a bright light of positivity to those who knew her.  She left a legacy of positivity, love, giving and a smile that lit up the room.  Many will emulate those virtues to honor her.  Our world is a better place because she was a part of it.

She was preceded in death by her father -in-law, Donald Galbraith.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Paul W. Galbraith; her parents, Joseph and Betty Pasco; her mother in law, Joan Galbraith; her siblings, Christopher (Dawn) Pasco, Patrick (Danielle) Pasco, Jason Pasco; her siblings -in-law,  Kathy (Tim) Aue, Steve (Abby) Galbraith, Jenni (Dan) Meyer, and Mike (Heather) Galbraith; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and friends who were family to her.

Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1300 NE J Street, Bentonville, AR 72712, with a celebration of life to follow from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Riordan Hall Recreation Center Large Meeting Room in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
