Neal
Bachman
May 6, 1936 — May 27, 2025
Bella Vista
Neal Bachman, age 89, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 27, 2025, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born May 6, 1936, on the family farm in Rulo, Nebraska, to Loyd and Louretta Bachman. Neal grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work and personal responsibility. These values shaped how he lived, worked, and cared for his family.
He married Betty Zoeller in 1957, and together they raised three children: Doug, Lori, and LeAnn. His love of family was constant throughout his life. No matter what the occasion, Neal was always present to support his loved ones, and family gatherings were among his greatest joys.
Neal served six years in the National Guard as he began his career as a farmer in Nebraska. He later transitioned into real estate and homebuilding in Arkansas, where he worked until retirement. He left a lasting mark through the homes he built and the relationships he formed. In every role, he was known for his honesty, consistency, and craftsmanship. Neal was a longtime Husker and Razorback fan who rarely missed a game.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alan Bachman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Bachman; their three children and spouses, and a foreign exchange daughter: Doug and Luanne Bachman, Lori and Terry Douglas, LeAnn and Larry Huff, and Paula Melo; 10 grandchildren: Kristen Kossover, Brittany Bachman, Ryan Bachman, Ashton Salazar, Amber West, Nate Douglas, Quinton Douglas, Nick Sands, Allie Seay, Brock Huff, and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as three brothers: Dale, Merle, and Lyle Bachman.
He will be missed, remembered, and honored by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Two visitations will be held to honor his life:
