Nettie "Lou" Smith, age 89, of Hiwasse, AR, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born February 26, 1936, in Jones County, TX, a daughter of C.H. Otto and Wylie Butler Otto.

Lou was a long-time resident of Hiwasse, AR where she resided with her husband, Gayland "Kyle" Smith for 52 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hiwasse, AR.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife and friend.  She will be truly missed by all.

She is now our beautiful guardian angel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayland Kyle Smith; her parents, C.H. Otto and Wylie Butler Otto of Hiwasse, AR; two brothers, Alvin and Alfred Otto of TX.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Hawkins of Hamlin, TX; her three children, Tony Smith (Mary) of Hiwasse, AR, Teresa Minyard (Rick) of Highfill, AR, Donna Edens (Jim) of Garfield, AR; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
