Patricia Kavalec, 88, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away on July 20, 2026. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents, Emil and Bridget (Conway) Sindelar and older brother, Emmitt Sindelar.

Patricia raised her family in Bay Village, Ohio. She enjoyed the outdoors and nature. She loved children and was a school crossing guard for many years in Westlake, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Patricia was an active parishioner of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, in Bay Village, Ohio for over fifty years.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Kavalec; father and mother, Emil and Bridget Sindelar; and brother, Emmitt Sindelar.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Kavalec) Brooks and husband, Frank Clinton Brooks; granddaughter, Jessica Brooks and husband, Chris Derickson; great grandson, Ronan Derickson; grandson, Kevin Brooks; son, Terence Kavalec; son, Thomas Kavalec; granddaughter, Kara Kavalec; granddaughter, Kristina Schuerger (estranged); daughter, Kathleen (Kavalec) Messinger and husband, Joseph Messinger; grandsons, Neil Messinger and Evan Messinger; grandson, Ryan Tate and wife, Kathleen Tate; great grandson, Louis Tate; grandson, Michael Torres; son, James Kavalec; granddaughter, Alexandria Kavalec; and daughter, Elaine Kavalec.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 525 Dover Center Rd., Bay Village, Ohio 44240 followed by funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.
