Patrick Henry Wood, Jr died peacefully at 93 years in home Hospice on October 6, 2021, with his wife, Nancy of 41 years by his side.

He was born June 28, 1928, to Patrick and Theresa (Johnson) Wood in Seattle, Washington.  When he was three, they moved to California where he lived more than 70 years before moving to Arkansas in 2004.

The picture most people have of him is with a puzzle book at hand, he was known for his wit, infectious personality, and unfailing ability to have a good joke ready, Pat was always the life of the party.  He was loved and respected by all, his family, friends and co - workers included.

Pat Wood was a true believer in working for what you want in life. An entrepreneur at heart, he started his first business during the depression, at the age of five with his three year old sister shining shoes on his local street corner. He had multiple businesses along the way, including selling magazines, and eventually found his way into the grocery store business just a few years later as a stock boy, which sent him on a journey that would lead him to become the VP of Industrial Engineering for Mayfair Markets, servicing the entire West Coast chain of stores.

Pat's love for ballroom dancing and old movies was shared with his daughter, Kathleen.  Nancy's food industry friends adopted him as one of their own and he was a fixture at her industry conventions.

After retirement, Pat spent the rest of his days enjoying life, playing tennis, golfing, bowling, and traveling the world, and most importantly, being a devoted father and husband. He will be missed greatly and never forgotten.  We love you Pat!

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael, and daughter, Teri Lea.

He is survived by his siblings Barbara Dillman, Marge Messall and Mary Ann (Terry) Short and their families; children Patricia (Patty), Michael and Kathleen, his grandsons Kenneth and William, granddaughters Chelsea and Ashley, and his beloved wife Nancy, whom he loved with all of his heart.
