Obituary

Richard Charles Haddock, 79, of Bella Vista, Arkansas joined our Heavenly Father on August 8, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born in Cassville, Missouri to Charles and Edna Haddock on September 13, 1942.

Rich's devotion to his wife of 57 years, Eloise, was immeasurable. Theirs was a love that dates back 63 years, a true "love at first sight." The loyalty he had for his family was immense. Providing for them was of the utmost importance to him.

Rich graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. He began his profession as a structure engineer for TWA while obtaining his MBA at the University of Missouri. After 21 years with TWA, he began his equally long career with American Airlines. After his retirement as Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering in 2000, he consulted for another 9 years. During this time, he played a key role in the integration of the maintenance departments of TWA and American Airlines.

Rich was known to be a hardworking man. When he came home from work, he worked some more. Whether it was building a shed in the backyard, making furniture, or installing a new kitchen floor, he was always looking forward to his next project. He was a true Renaissance man with endless hobbies. To name a few, he enjoyed boating with his family, building model airplanes, and working in the yard with his wife, Ellie.

He served tirelessly in his church alongside his wife. His devotion to his church community is revealed in his innumerable roles throughout his lifetime. Rich was a generous and gracious man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Charles, his mother, Edna, and his brother, Terry.  He is survived by his wife, Eloise, his son, Richie, and his daughter, Ginger. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Jenn, his son-in-law, Allen, and his grandchildren, Lukas and Fern.
