Robert Scott Cadwallader, 68, of Webb City, Missouri, died May 10, 2024, in hospice care in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on May 24, 1955, to Rosalie Long (Brill) and Lewis Cadwallader, Sr. in Joplin, Missouri.

After a stint in the US Navy, he studied English and history and acted in student productions at Missouri Southern State College.  He worked briefly at KODE, including pinch hitting as a weekend reporter, followed by several years in Composing at The Joplin Globe.

He was a licensed scuba diver, a Honolulu and Boston marathoner, and a trophied dancer.  He also enjoyed singing and writing in his spare time.

He married Patricia Hardee (Rivette) on October 18, 1990, with whom he had three children and one stepdaughter.  He had one child from another liaison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Janice Lynne Brill; and several beloved furbabies.

He is survived by his stepfather, Oscar Brill; siblings, Vicki Cunningham, Brenda Ritz, Melissa Brill, Rebecca Garza, and Lewis Cadwallader, Jr.; step siblings, Gary Brill and Debra Leffler; ex-wife, Patricia Rivette; children, Harmony Jump, Israel Cadwallader, Melody Stroupe, and Linda Carreon; stepdaughter, Shawna Miller; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Journey Church Joplin, 301 S McKinley Ave., Joplin, MO 64801.  There will be no graveside services.
