Robert Harold Johnson, 93, went to his eternal home on October 16, 2022.  He was born July 30, 1929, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Genevieve M. and George P. Johnson.

"Bob" and his wife of 68 years, Helen "Berniece" (Buckingham) Johnson, have resided in Bella Vista, Arkansas since October of 1990.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gertrude; brothers, Leonard, Maurice, John, and George; and three great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Berniece of the home; six children, Mary (and Jim), Robert "Bobby" (and Candace), Elizabeth (and Kelly), Joseph "Joe" (and Paula), John, and Catherine; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren;  one great-great-grandchild; his sister, Theresa Bonjour (and Kirk); and numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family.

Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War era.  He had a passion for golf, starting as a caddy in his teens and played the game himself into his 70s.  He and his wife also enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years, having even instructed small classes in years past.  Bob was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals Fan and enjoyed watching televised games alongside his wife.

Bob was a man of great faith.  He loved his family and worked hard all his life to provide.  He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, big smile, and hearty laugh.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held October 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
