On Friday, June 9, 2023, Roland Gary Runions (Rollie) of Bentonville passed away at the age of 79. Rollie was born June 18, 1943, in Superior, WI to Sidney and Marion Runions.

He graduated from Central Highschool in Superior, WI and obtained his business degree from Duluth College of Business, Duluth, MN. He started his sales career at Northwest Outlet in Superior, eventually moving to WDSM Radio and later retiring from WDIO TV in Duluth, MN as Advertising Director.

Rollie moved to Bella Vista in 1984, where he enjoyed running, golfing, and many other sports. Rollie ran the Rogers Running Club for many years and golfed with his golfing buddies to the very end. Rollie and Karon enjoyed their many travels and adventures, sharing many loving memories. Rollie passed away peacefully and quietly at home.  He will be truly missed.

Rollie was preceded in death by his father, Sidney; his mother, Marion; and brother, James Nicholas (Nick.)

He is survived by his wife, Karon Smith; fur babies, Reggie and Raddie; daughter, Laurianne (Robert) Porter; son, Patrick (Beverly) Runions; son, Jason (Nessie) Runions; three grandchildren, Brandon, Kali, and Justin; and several great-grandchildren.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, 32 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista, AR  72714.
