Rosemary S. Mensch, 87, passed away on January 23, 2025.  She was born on October 14, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri. Her parents were Louis N. Vitale and Katie M. Vitale (Puzzo).

She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri and went to work at the Bendix Corporation where she met her husband of 28 years, Robert J. Godbout.  After her three children were high school age, she embarked on a successful administrative career starting with Longview Community College and ending as the administrative assistant to the President of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.  She loved the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

In 1994 she married George T. (Tom) Mensch, her husband of 28 years, and they retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2001.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary M. (Margaret) Godbout of Stilwell, KS.

Grateful for having the world's best mom are her daughter, Susan M. Gustafson of Bella Vista, Arkansas and son, David P. (Sherri) Godbout of St. Louis, Missouri.  In addition, she leaves six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and the bonus Mensch family: Laurie (Kevin) Nelson and Steven (Keylan) Mensch of North Carolina, Lisa (Kary) Oliver of Overland Park, Kansas and their children and grandchildren who greatly enriched her life also.

Rosemary did not want a public memorial service.  The family will have a celebration of her life in Kansas City on March 22.
