Roy Lynn Smith, 72, of Gravette, Arkansas, passed away on November 20, 2021, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Roy was born on April 15, 1949, in San Joaquin Valley, California. He was the son of Gene and Delores (Farmer) Smith.

Roy grew up in Vendor, Arkansas and spent his childhood days playing in the woods and at the creek. He graduated high school in Mt. Judea, Arkansas. Roy was retired from Preform Line Products where he worked for 43 years.

Roy was the husband of Patty. They shared 52 years of marriage but an eternity of love.

Roy was a great man and loved by so many. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed keeping the yardwork done and the flowers watered. He could sit for hours in his chair on the porch just watching the squirrels play or watching for deer to cross the road.

He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids with his whole heart. He loved to watch them, hold them and play with them. He gave all of them great memories that will last forever. Roy will always be remembered for his love for his family, his quiet calmness and the kindness that you could see in his smile.

Roy is survived by his wife Patty; sons Nick Smith and Bub Smith; daughter Kristy; eight grandchildren, Ashlee Marie, Jamie, Ricky, Adam, Samantha, Dillon, Nikki, Ashley; fourteen great grandchildren, Kaden, Karsen, Mason, Maverick, Grace, Waylon, Gavin, Briar, Stetson, Keilee, Kaleb, Stella, Maddie and Ryan; two sisters, Jovita Smith (Jerry), and Darlene Savoy Smith (Erik).

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas with Anthony Kent officiating.
