With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Ruth Ann Cozad who passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on June 10, 2026.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for the people she loved. Her home was always filled with warmth, delicious meals, handmade treasures, and an open door for family and friends.

She found great happiness in quilting, knitting, cooking, and traveling, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family. Through every quilt she stitched, every meal she prepared, and every gift she lovingly created, she shared pieces of her heart with those around her.

Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her church family held a special place in her heart. She faithfully served others with kindness, generosity, and compassion, giving freely of her time, energy, and resources. Her quiet acts of service and unwavering faith touched countless lives and reflected the love she carried for God and others.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Cozad, whose memory she carried with enduring love.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry G. Cozad; her children, Michelle Fritsch and her husband, Paul, Brad Cozad and his wife, Colleen, and Bonnie Cozad, the wife of her late son, Mike. She was a proud grandmother to Danie Jennings, Hannah Lara, Bryan Fritsch, Matt Fritsch, Rebekah Cozad, and Luke Cozad, and a cherished great-grandmother to Jonah Lara and Isabel Lara.

Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, steadfast faith, and unwavering devotion to family. She was a gift of love and friendship to everyone blessed to know her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, creativity, and unconditional love that will continue through the generations she nurtured.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing that her life was a beautiful example of grace, generosity, and faithful service. Her memory will forever remain stitched into the hearts of those she loved.

In lieu of flowers, Jerry kindly requests that memorial donations be made to The Periwinkle Foundation, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses through camps, arts, and survivor programs.
