Our Precious Mother, Ruth Allene Studyvin Foster received her Angel Wings from God on Sunday, June 12, 2022, her favorite day of the week.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gladys Maninger; brothers, Warren and Hal Maninger; sister, Betty Bowman; husbands, Gib Studyvin and Coke Foster; daughter, Pamelia Ann Hatfield; great grandsons, Parker and Gavin Harrell.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Amy Wiles (Malcolm) and family.

She is survived by three daughters:

Debra Ruth Studyvin Velez (Duane): Elizabeth Martinez (Adrion), Isabelle, Jake, Addison, and Aiden; Jennifer Malone (Josh), Jack Michael, and John Issac; and Meredith Hodges (Grant), Calvin Warren and Logan.

Mary Beth Mitchell (Rex): Gib Mitchell, Gibby and Gabby; Tobi Anne Harrell (Jeremy), Parx and Foster Dean; and Pauli Beth Brown (Ryan) Conner and Landon.

Pamelia Ann Hatfield's son: Matthew Hatfield (Victoria) Scotland and Hampton.

Judith Allene Studyvin: Brooke Allene Rice (Michael), Sutton, Bowen, Jada Allene and Emma; and Blake Sutton (Lindsay) and Sloane.

She was born in Harper, Kansas on February 8, 1930. She later moved to Pittsburg, Kansas where she attended a one room schoolhouse, graduated from Pittsburgh High School and received her bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Pittsburg State Teachers College in 1952.

She met our Dad through her oldest brother, Warren. She married our father, Gib Studyvin, and moved to Gravette, Arkansas in June, 1952. Dad and mom opened Gib's IGA. Mom taught school in Gravette for a year and then they started their family of four girls, Debra Ruth, Mary Beth, Pamelia Ann, and Judith Allene.

Mom became a young widow in 1974. Five years later she met and married our stepdad, Leroy "Coke" Foster. They were married in May of 1979, the same day Judy graduated from high school. They enjoyed a wonderful, exciting life for nearly 41 years.

Mom loved her church, First Christian Church in Gravette. She loved to sing and whistle. She sang in the Church Choir along with many solos and duets with Dick Parnham. She loved singing alto and blending her voice with everyone with whom she sang. She also sang in the City Choir for many years. She took us to church every time the doors were open along with VBS every summer.  She always wore a simple leather necklace with a silver metal cross attached. When people would ask her about it, she would take it off and give it to them. Immediately, she would get in her purse and get another one out and put it on.

Mom was given the honor of "Gravette Citizen of the Year" in 2005. She loved working with the American Cancer Society. She hosted "Love Lights A Tree" in the City Park for 25 years.

She loved her friends and drinking coffee both at home with her daughter, Mary Beth and friends at Greenway and Austin Drug many mornings on Main Street in Gravette. She loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, angel food cake, playing bridge weekly, riding amusement park rides. She loved traveling with Coke in their motor home many times to Alaska in the summer and with the Arkansas Rambler's motor home club all over the United States. She adored her grandkids and great grandkids.

In lieu or in addition to flowers, be kind to someone every day.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7 ^th at Bella Vista Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, Arkansas on Friday, July 8 ^th at 11 a.m.
