Stephen James "Steve" Roughton, 79, of Rogers, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 23, 2022, from Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista, Arkansas.  He was born May 24, 1942, in Rogers to Perry "Pat" and Edna (Easterday) Roughton. He was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas, living in Rogers until 2004, when he moved to Bella Vista.

He attended Rogers Public Schools and was a 1961 graduate of Rogers High School.  He was employed by several Rogers grocery stores, including IGA, Foodtown South and Phillips where he held various management positions. Prior to retirement, he owned Rely Home and Pet Service in Rogers for ten years.  He enjoyed classic cars, classic movies, living on Lake Windsor and spending time with his three grandsons.

He married Carolyn (Robbins) Roughton on June 2, 1962, at Immanuel Baptist Church.  She preceded him in death on August 20, 2016.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Roughton.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Aaron Weidman of Bella Vista and his grandsons: Ryan Stephen (Amber) Wood, Jackson Wood and Bryce James Wood; also survived by Jeff Wood, father of Ryan, Jackson and Bryce.

A private memorial is being held by the family.
