Susan Marie Howells, 65, of Bentonville, Arkansas died June 28, 2024. She was born on November 24, 1958, in Rockford, Illinois.

Susan attended the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and became a beautician. She returned to Bentonville to be closer to her parents. She enjoyed working at Open Avenues for 24 years. She was a fiercely independent woman, spending her time cooking family recipes, watching classic movies, and taking care of her houseplants. She loved Betty Boop, University of Arkansas athletics, and traveling, having taken memorable trips to Memphis, Saint Louis, Galveston and Florida. She attended St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville, where she sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Norman "Norm" Howells, Jr. and Frances F. (Deubel) Howells.

She will be fondly remembered by her dear friend Mary Pablo, her colleagues at Open Avenues, and her friends at Sources for Independent Community Living, Inc.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, AR 72715, with Rosary to follow at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Barnabas.
