Susan Elaine Stoltmann Muncy, age 70, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR.

Born in 1955, to Gilly and Addie Rene Stoltmann in Biloxi, MS. Sue grew up in Ocean Springs, MS, Tucson, AZ and Houston, TX.  She graduated from Madison High School in Houston, TX in 1973 and began her career as an Administrative Assistant.

In 1977 she attended a young singles coed softball gathering on Sunday afternoons and met Phil Muncy. Following courtship, including the Texas Renaissance Festival, the Kerrville Folk and Bluegrass Festival and trips to Lake Travis with her sisters, Linda and Jeanne and their families, Sue accepted Phil's proposal.  They were married in the Courtyard of Brennan's in Houston in 1977.

Their life together was spent in Houston, TX, Austin, TX and Kansas City, MO.  Her professional career included working for Kestran, the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, The Texas Association of School Boards and CRB Consulting Engineers.  She also taught Sunday school classes at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church. They retired in 2017 whereby they moved permanently to their weekend home in Bella Vista, AR.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Jeanne and Pat; and her brothers, John and Max.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Phil; their son, Kenneth Andrew; her sister, Linda Brown; nephew, Russ Brown (Jamie); and children, Hailey, Tyler, Clara and Logan.
