Tamara Lindsey Dupwe, Tami as her friends and family knew her, was born May 30, 1974, in Oklahoma. The devoted daughter of Marilyn and loving younger sister of Daniel.  She passed away, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her home in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Tami grew up spending time with family in Muskogee, Oklahoma; McGehee and Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Memphis, Tennessee.

A shining light in her family, she was her brother's first best friend and confidant. They grew up side by side, facing life's challenges and joys together. They shared countless adventures, times filled with laughter, sometimes fighting and sometimes tears. There were late-night talks, lifetime secrets and endless support.

Tami attended Immaculate Conception High School and later studied at the University of Memphis.

She was a talented dancer. A passionate advocate for animals, she regularly volunteered at rescues and humane societies; there was never an animal in need that Tami didn't try to help or a cat she didn't try to find a home for, even if it meant her own. She was a lover of live music with an infectious smile and laugh. Her quick wit, paired with her warm and bubbly personality made her a swift and easy friend of many.

Tami found her career at NEC, Inc. in Rogers, Arkansas. She took a lot of pride in her work there and in her role in the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn June Weatherbee Dupwe; her grandmothers, Angelyn (Angie) Bond and Carolyn Dupwe; and her papas, David Dupwe II and Louis Bond.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Daniel Dupwe; sister-in-law, Shannon Hahn; and their children, Angelyn Dupwe, Katherine Hahn, Cidaly Dupwe, Ethan Dupwe, Samuel Dupwe and Kaitlyn McElhaney; her boyfriend, Joshua Silvy; and her five cats Olive, Cello, Franny, Savvy, and Italia.

A funeral mass for Tami will be held, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
