Obituary

Tammy Lynn Pearson (formerly Johnson), age 56, of Bella Vista, was unexpectedly called to Heaven on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at her home in Bella Vista. She was born in October of 1968 in Independence, MO to Gloria Pack and Don Johnson.

After graduating from Park Hill High School, Tammy attended Southwest Missouri State University, where she completed 2 years of studies before prioritizing motherhood to her daughter, Kayla. Relocating to Boston, MA in 1996, Tammy built her career in sales and adopted more than a few classic "New Englander" past-times; including her love of travel and worldly cuisines, she became a die-hard Red Sox fan. (Thankfully she remained an ever-loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan!) Throughout her time in Massachusetts, if you weren't connecting with her at a musical or show, attempting to ski in Vermont, or hiking for waterfalls in New Hampshire, you would more than likely hear her (unmistakable voice) cheering on softball fields across New England.

In July of 2005, Tammy met the love of her, life Kirk Pearson. They were married in December of 2008, and relocated back home to Kansas City in 2010. Together, they built their love of Jesus, ministry, serving others, and embarked on many memorable adventures across the globe. Much of their time was spent in dedication to service with the Dream Center as well as building their staffing business with LaborMax, ultimately bringing them to their current home in Bella Vista, AR in July of 2020.

In addition to her work with LaborMax, Tammy found her true calling and joy in serving others as the proud owner of the Grateful Griddle in Pea Ridge, AR, which opened in April of 2024. A devoted follower of Jesus, Tammy's work in the Griddle reached well beyond good food. As often as she could, her caring and empathetic spirit defined what it felt like to be welcomed into the arms of Christ. She was a prayer warrior and often went out of her way to show her love and support for those in her community, church, friends, and family. Her larger-than-life personality, big heart, bright smile, warm embrace, and contagious laugh will be missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Johnson and stepfather, Elston Pack.

She is survived by her husband, Kirk Pearson of 19 years; daughter, Kayla (Hoyer) Channell; mother, Gloria Pack; brothers, Steve and Jeff Johnson; sister-in-law, Tammy Johnson; step-sister, Barb (Pack) Bollinger; step-brother, Jay (Duane) Pack; sister-in-law Glenda Pack; sister-in-law Shelley Hoyer; nieces and nephews, Micah, Noah, Tristen, Josh, Lauren, Kristen, and Jenny; many great-nieces-and-nephews, and a future granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by Tammy's Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th St, Kansas City, MO 64155.  An additional service will be held in Bella Vista, Arkansas (TBA). Flower deliveries can be made to Northland Cathedral on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
