Thomas Michael Carney, a man of boundless spirit and zest for life, embarked on his earthly journey on January 29, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, and peacefully completed it on January 24, 2024, in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Thomas Carney's life was a canvas painted with vibrant hues of love, commitment, and adventure. His journey was uniquely shaped by the rich tapestry of experiences gained through his marriages to Judith Carney, Franciene Gill, and Ann Carney.

In his professional pursuits, Thomas dedicated over 35 years to a distinguished career with Coca-Cola. This chapter led him to reside in 27 cities, providing him with a panoramic view of diverse cultures and communities. His work took him beyond borders, allowing him to explore the landscapes of over 40 countries. Along this journey, he encountered a myriad of fascinating individuals, each contributing to the mosaic of memories that defined his remarkable career and life.

An adventurer at heart, Tom checked off numerous items from his "Bucket List" during his 80+ years. He completed over 20 marathons, including those in New York, London, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and Boston. Tom was present at iconic events such as the 25th Grammy Awards, various World Series, World Cup matches, PGA U.S Open, Super Bowls, Stanley Cup Championships, and the Indy 500. His spirit glowed as he carried the Olympic torch for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and attended the opening and closing ceremonies. He even witnessed Pope John Paul II in Madrid, Spain, and threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game.

In a heartfelt dedication to his late mother, who battled and succumbed to lung cancer, Tom Carney became a passionate advocate for raising awareness through his initiative, "Cruisin for Cancer." Fueled by his love for riding his Harley, he embarked on cross-country journeys, covering all 48 states. Accompanied by his cousins Kathy and Dan Rigdon on some of these transformative rides, Tom found this undertaking to be one of the most exhilarating and purposeful experiences of his life.

A larger-than-life personality, Tom reveled in connecting with people and socializing. His infectious love made an impression on everyone fortunate enough to meet him. Despite losing his hearing early in life, he never let it hinder his zest for living. Tom Carney embraced life without regrets, appreciating every moment.

Thomas Michael Carney lived appreciating each moment and leaving a legacy of love, adventure, and compassion. As he finds eternal peace, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his extraordinary journey.

Preceding him in death were his beloved father, James Francis Carney; mother, Paula Victoria Carney (Franz); his cherished twin brother, John Patrick Carney; and close cousins, Michael (Jake) and Ed Franz.

Left to cherish his memory are his adoring daughters, Christine Carney, and Jill (Kevin) Kleinebreil; grandsons, Clay (Courtney) Kleinebreil  and Cory  Kleinebreil. His legacy continues through the joyous laughter of three great-grandchildren, Taytum, Sutton, and Brooks Kleinebreil. In the circle of family, Thomas leaves behind his brother, James (Camille) Carney; sister, Rita Carney; nieces, Debbie (Wayne) Holborow and Paula Carney; and nephews, Sean (Stacey) Carney and Beau Rogers.

A celebration of life for Tom will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the love and support received and looks forward to gathering with friends, family, and well-wishers to share memories and celebrate Tom's extraordinary life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that friends and well-wishers consider making a meaningful donation in Tom's name to one of the non-profit organizations he ardently supported. Contributions to these causes will honor Tom's legacy and continue his passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.
