Tom Hutchison of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on October 22, 2021 at the age of 80.

Tom was born on July 2, 1941 in Horton, near Everest, Kansas and was raised on the family farm.  He attended St. Benedicts College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in business.  He also attended University of Kansas and received a Masters Degree in economics.

Tom Proudly served as a Captain of artillery in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam war.  He received the Bronze Star Medal (BSM)  which is a United States Armed Forces decoration awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for either heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service in a combat zone .  He served two tours in Vietnam.

Tom enjoyed golf, fishing, boating, getting fireworks on his birthday, pumpkin spice lattes, his Shih Tzu Rusty, and of course his family and friends.

Tom was an active member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Bella Vista and had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ.

He was predeceased by his parents Theodore "Ted" Hutchison and Betty Jane Sloan.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Hutchison of Bella Vista, two daughters, Marcia Pleas of Bella Vista, and Marla (Ken) Anderson of Aurora, Colorado, and son Jon (Jane) Runge of Golden, Colorado, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.   He is also survived by his two sisters, Sharon Green (Ben) of Indian Head Park, Illinois and Peggy Volenec of Brentwood, California.

Tom may be gone physically, but not in spirit.  He will always be lovingly remembered and with us.
