T.J. "Scotty" Scott, 73, of Bentonville, AR, passed away on January 7, 2023, peacefully in his bed, with his family by his side.

Scotty was born in Pine Bluff, AR on November 3, 1949. He was a 1967 graduate from Pine Bluff High school and continuing to University of Arkansas and Ouachita Baptist University. Most of his career was spent in transportation/logistics and management.

He lived most of his life in Pine Bluff and White Hall, AR. His daughters moved him to Bentonville, AR following a stroke in 2016, where he resided in Apple Creek Nursing Home close to his daughters and grandchildren.

Scotty loved to hunt and fish. He loved Nascar, grilling, and working in his yard. He loved animals, of all kinds. It was not uncommon for him to seek out animals with some sort of special need. He owned dogs, cats, goats, horses, donkeys, a deer, a cow, and a llama. He even rescued an opossum, named Roscoe, and kept him as a pet. His animals and hearing about his kids' and grandkids' adventures brought him joy. He had a huge heart and charm. And loved his family and friends infinitely.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Brenda Scott (Ogden), and his parents T.J. Scott Sr. and Loy Opal Scott (Carter).

Scotty is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Massanelli and Allison Casady; stepchildren, Greg Cheek and Jennifer Miller; brother, Michael Scott; sister, Deborah Smart; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Scotty's ashes will be placed with his parents in Star City, AR. His family will hold a graveside memorial at a later date, followed by a celebration of life with friends and family.

Please thank a caregiver!  They provide so much care and compassion when normal life takes a turn. The family can't thank the caregivers enough for the time spent with Scotty over the past 6 years.
