Vada Goforth, 83, of Gravette passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in Rogers, AR surrounded by her family. She was born August 13, 1940, in Neosho, MO to Buford Taylor and Betty Taylor.

Vada married Jim Baker after graduating high school in Picher OK, later moving to Grove, OK where they raised their three children until Jim's passing in Grove, OK. She remarried to John Goforth and worked in retail for many years in Grove while operating small businesses with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family including long trips to visit family, going to Vegas, and sightseeing. She was happy being with family whether it was square dancing or just going shopping on the weekends and having Sunday dinner. Vada spent her retirement years caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren anytime school was out and during summer vacations. She also enjoyed providing food for Tri-State Auction every week with her grandchildren. Her most precious moments were spending time with her great grandchildren, Kyla, Bentley, Sawyer, and Asher.

Vada attended the Baptist Church in Gravette.

Vada was preceded in death by her father, Buford Taylor; mother, Betty Taylor (Nichols); husband, (father of her children), Jim Baker; husband, John Goforth; brother, Bob Taylor; sister, Ann Engleman; and brother, Paul Nichols.

She is survived by her children, Sheri Gibe, Jim (Therese) Baker, and Teresa (Eric) Halley; four grandchildren, Scott (Josetta) Gillming, Spencer (Madison) Gillming, Zane Baker, and Damon Baker; and four great grandchildren, Kyla, Bentley, Sawyer and Asher Gillming.

A memorial service will start at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. Bella Vista, AR 72715, officiated by Gabe Harris. Visitation to follow until 7:00 pm. Vada will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her loving husband, John Goforth in Gravette.
