Obituary

Wanda H. Williams (Wonderful Wanda) of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on June 30, 2026. She was born on March 7, 1947, to William T. and Lucille (Worrall) House in the mountains of Colorado.

Wanda was always involved in her children's lives and in many organizations. She was Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls; a Brownie Leader; chaperoned many school activities and when she didn't chaperone, she attended to cheer them on. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi; Eastern Star; served on the Chamber of Commerce; sang in the church choir; and was a Sunday School teacher.

Wanda attended Mesa State College for a year and was always learning new skills, including being an independent insurance agent for a number of years. Later, she went back to college, fulfilling her dream and earning one of her proudest moments, graduating from Texas A&M, Texarkana, with a degree in Human Resources. After that, she lived and worked in many places from Arkansas, Colorado, Montana, and South Carolina.

Wanda loved the mountains and enjoyed traveling. She had many hobbies including painting, needle work, writing, crossword puzzles, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Williams.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Amy (James) Gilmore of Bentonville, Arkansas; grandsons, Craig Williams, Jr. of Freehold, New Jersey, Alec Gilmore of Carmel, Indiana; granddaughter, Jenna Gilmore of Bentonville; her sister, Nona Dale of Grand Junction, Colorado, one brother, Monte House of Estes Park, Colorado; and beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on July 17, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, AR, at 11:00 A.M. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
