Obituary

June D. Hanson , age 92, died at Highlands Health and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista, Arkansas November 21, 2020. June was born June 26, 1928 in Minot, North Dakota. She graduated from Fargo High School and was employed for 30 years at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Fargo. June was promoted within the company and held the responsible position of Assistant Operator Service Supervisor at the time of her retirement.

On June 22, 1952 June married Winston Hanson who was the love of her life. June and Winston lived in Fargo until their retirement when they moved to Bella Vista. The Bella Vista community soon became June and Wins beloved home as they enjoyed their retirement years together working on home projects, fishing, and gardening. June was a devoted member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church and was active in the church through the LWML Quilters, Lutheran Braille Workers and her JOY Group which gathered at Highlands Health and Rehab for a weekly Bible study. June was known at the church as the "Coffee Lady" for many years. She would get up early Sunday and have the church coffee ready for members to enjoy fellowship between the church services.

June is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister, in-laws, and her devoted husband Winston.

June is survived by her niece Mary Bergan, nephews James (Sue) Bergan and John Bergan, great nieces, great nephews, great-great niece and great-great nephews and cousins.

A special thank you to the staff at Brookfield Senior Living and Highlands Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care of June over the past eight years.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 30 th at Bella Vista Cemetery officiated by Rev. Paul Hass and Rev. Chris Gorshe.

Memorials may be made to Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
